Parent Resource Center

Parent Resource Center

Our Parent Resource Center is located outside the Guidance Counselor's office. The Parent Resource Center is stocked with DVDs, handouts, books, and a mixture of information available to all parents at Dawnville. We have a computer and printer available for parents who need access to school-related information. Stop by and check out the Parent Resource Center!

Mandated Reporter Training

Georgia law now requires volunteers in our schools to be mandated reporters of suspected child abuse. All volunteers in Whitfield County Schools must complete the online training and print a certificate of completion that should be submitted to the school in which you will be volunteering. If needed, you may use a school computer to complete the training. Parents who volunteer in multiple schools will need to supply the certificate of completion to each school. Parent Involvement

Our Parent Involvement Coordinators are available to help in any way possible. They are bilingual and can assist both English and Spanish speaking parents with completing forms or communicating with teachers. If you need assistance, please call Iliana Martinez at 706-980-1984, or stop by the office.Highly Qualified Staff-
The Georgia Professional Standards Commission sets standards that staff must meet to ensure that they are highly qualified to teach their classes. Again, we are proud to announce that all of our staff are highly qualified as stipulated by the Georgia Standards Commission.
